I love talking to real users and the people closest to the problem. It's the fastest way to understand who's hurting and why, long before anyone writes a line of code.

Took Freely from blank page to launch. Led product discovery, UX, and delivery for a UK streaming app backed by the four public service broadcasters: BBC, ITV, Channel 4, and Channel 5.

Designed and shipped a headless CMS for Deskpro's corporate site. Worked closely with engineers to re-architect the editorial flow so the marketing team could publish without waiting on a dev.

Shaped and tested the on-demand area of a content discovery experience for a major UK pay-TV operator, helping viewers find shows and brands they would otherwise miss. Ran a controlled A/B experiment to prove the lift before rollout.

A live web app that makes the EU's 90/180 day rule easy to see at a glance. Built solo with AI in a few evenings, now a free tool with a small base of paying users.

An AI voice receptionist for trades businesses: it answers the calls a busy plumber would miss, qualifies the job, triages urgency, and books it. A working proof of concept, built solo with AI.

“Romie was able to put people at ease and get the most out of consumer research interviews, drawing out valuable insights that shaped our product direction.”

My process is built to reduce uncertainty quickly and ship something real before optimism runs out. It’s less about process rigour and more about keeping the loop tight.
I love talking to real users and the people closest to the problem. It's the fastest way to understand who's hurting and why, long before anyone writes a line of code.
The fun part is narrowing a big vague problem into the smallest bet that could actually move the number. Trade-offs get written down. Assumptions get named. Everyone knows what we're still guessing at.
My favourite part of shipping is working closely with engineers to figure out where scope can be cut. The aim is the tightest possible MVP, the one that still teaches us something real.
The bit most people skip is the one I love most. Measuring what actually happened, talking to the people it happened to, and deciding what to drop, double down on, or leave alone. Then the loop starts again.
These numbers reflect the experience and the measurable impact behind the work I’ve delivered over the years.

I’m Romie, a product manager with 6+ years shipping data-driven products across startups and established teams. I’ve led discovery, built roadmaps, and taken one bet from zero to 1M+ users. Lately I’m focused on AI adoption and building new products.
A short list of things I get asked to do, and genuinely enjoy. If your problem sits somewhere in this neighbourhood, we’ll get on.
Write-ups of the side projects I’ve been building. Why I started each one, what I learned along the way, and the tool that came out of it.
